T4 isn't recognizable

Hi,

I have a new T4 that isn't detected by my computer when plugged in. I can't find it in the device manager or see it in Kipling. Confirmed the other T4s I have work, any thoughts on why this one doesn't?

Thanks,

Kevin

I gather you are talking

I gather you are talking about USB on Windows?  Do you see any activity in Windows Device Manager when you connect and disconnect the USB cable?

Test with no connections.  Just the USB cable.

Does the LED activity seem normal at power-up?

Try a different USB cable?

Try some of the different SPC jumpers?

Thanks for the help, it's working now.

Correction, I can talk to it

Correction, I can talk to it via USB but when I attempt to connect via ethernet it throws the following exception T4

Connection Type    Ethernet
IP    10.10.10.179: 52362
Error Code    1298
LJME_ATTR_LOAD_COMM_FAILURE
Error while loading device attributes. A device matching the requested device parameters was found, claimed, and connected, but a communication error prevented device attributes from being loaded to LJM. The device was not opened.

I've sucessfully and currently connected other labjack T4s and T7s to our network which leads me to believe this T4 is the culprit. I've reset it to a factory state, forced a copy of the backup image and loaded the emergency image then updated it to version 1.0016 none of which worked. It still won't connect via ethernet. Not sure what else I can do other than return it?

Thanks for the help!
