How to configure T7 for M80 expansion?

I have connected the M80 expasion to the T7 and using the LJstreamM for data sampling. How can I figure the T7/LJStreamM to make the M80 AIN input visible?

There is no configuration.

There is no configuration.  Just read whatever register name you want.  For example, put AIN48 in a row to read analog input 48.

LJStreamM is limited to 16 channels:

I am compiling the C/C++

I am compiling the C/C++ application examples and it complains: it can not find the <LabJackM.h>. Can you show me where is this file?

Glad to hear you figured it

Glad to hear you figured it out.

For others finding this topic with the same issue, on Windows the LabJackM.h header file is in the following folder:

64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\LabJack\Drivers
32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\LabJack\Drivers

For documentation on where LJM (LabJackM) files are installed for all operating systems, refer here:

One of my T7-Pro had trouble

One of my T7-Pro had trouble connecting either USB or Ethernet so I jumped SPC-FI03 to load an emergency image and got connected with USB (never connect thru Ethernet) and now I am trying to load Power-up settings from a file downloaded from another T7. Howewer, I got a meesage saying "The intended firmware version and the device firmware verson must match". When I tried to update firmware version it writes  the image but get stuck saying "Reconnecting to device" at the end and do anything else (leds blinking) and then I can't connect to the T7 at least perform another SPC-FI03 jump.   OS Windows.

Let's try the following:

Let's try the following:

  1. Use the SPC-FIO3 jumper to get the T7 to talk via USB.
  2. Connect to the T7 using Kipling. Let me know the following values:
    • Hardware Version:
    • Firmware Version:
    • Bootloader Version:
    • Recovery Firmware Version:
  3. Remove the SPC-FIO3 jumper.
  4. Use Kipling to load new firmware.
    • Which firmware version did you select?
  5. If the update process gets stuck, power cycle the T7.
    • Does it start up?
    • What firmware version is being reported?
  6. If the unit does not start up after a power cycle, install the SPC-FIO1 jumper and power cycle the unit.
    • Does it start up?
    • What firmware version is being reported.

Firstly, thanks for your

Firstly, thanks for your quick response...

Attached is a screen shot of device info. Regarding your questions, here ar the answers for each step:

1.- I got the T7 to talk via USB

2.- See attaced file

3.- Did it.

4.- I selected to update Firmware version 1.0242  (the one it had before)

5.- The update process got stuck, it said "Reconnecting to device" and does not start up and doesn't talk to device at least another SPC-FIO3 jumper is done. and keep reporting  Firmware version 0.6606  (leads are still on while writing image and then both fast blinking when trying to reconnect.

6.- I did the SPC-FIO1 jump and didn't start up. It only start up after a SPC-FIO3 jumper and keep reporting some information as the attached file.

One last thing to try. Use

One last thing to try. Use the FIO3 jumper to load firmware 1.0280.

If the unit still won't start up follow the instructions here to send the unit in for repair: https://labjack.com/about/returns

Nop... with the FIO3 jumper

Nop... with the FIO3 jumper the update process go thru until a message "Upgrade Successful”. However, after rebooting the device, it´s still with Version 0.6066

I tried several tricks like pulling the jumper just after “writing image” and right after “reconnecting to device” but didn´t work… thanks for your support!!

Question: we did not buy this device directly from LJ, it came within a DAQ system from another provider. Are we going still be able to return the device for repair?

If it has been customized or

If it has been customized or modified we might not be able to do much, but try us anyway.  Request an RMA and let us look at it.  If you don't have a T7 on your order history, just send the email to [email protected] with the listed information and mention this forum conversation.
