T7 continuos sampling and resolution

Hi, i would like to do continuos sampling for about 5 seconds from one analog input channel, sampled at  40-50 kS/s ,  doesn't change so much for me, but maybe it does for the T7. From documentation, i understand that for do continuos sampling i've to use stream mode , because te command-response mode it's like a sampling on demand , it's right?  My question its about effective resolution, because if  i'm constrained to use resolution index= 0,1 for stream mode,  my effective resolution its 316 microVolt (from table A.3.1.1) , but i would like to decrease a little bit that value if possible .

Thanks to everyone for help

You might be able to use

You might be able to use ResolutionIndex=2 at those rates, but that is the highest.  To improve resolution from there you can reduce the Range to something less than 10V.  As long as you are only doing a single channel stream you can go fast.

Looking table A1.4:

Looking table A1.4:

Resolution index = 2 ,  gain/range 1 : ±10V , max sample rate 39.6 kSNow, if i try to reduce range does the sample rate decrease or not?

The 39.6 kHz rate you mention

The 39.6 kHz rate you mention above is the maximum sample rate when streaming more than one channel.  You will be able to get the maximum sampling rate of 48 kHz at ResolutionIndex=2 when streaming a single channel.  You will still be able to get 48 kHz if you use the +/-1V and +/-0.1V ranges as long as you keep your stream to one channel (see table A1.4).

Sorry, that's true.

Sorry, that's true.

In conclusion, using this parametersResIndex = 2 , Gain/Range 10/+-1 i get 48 kS/s sample rate and 47.9 microVolt of effective resolution right?

Actually, your effective

Actually, your effective resolution will be a little better than that.  At Gain=10 and ResolutionIndex=2, you will achieve a 31.6 microvolt effective resolution.  Table A1.3 lists the effective resolutions for various gain and resolution index values.

Ok i think its ok... thank

Ok i think its ok... thank you so much!!!

I have another questione but it's better if i open one other topic
