Home/Forums/T7/ T7 Pro Wifi without ecryption, how
Sent a file by email. Seems that wifi_status varies between 2906, 2909 and 2904 both with fixed ip and dhcp. Same, if I use my android phone as access point...
After applying your WiFi settings on the T7, power cycle the T7 and see if it connects to your access point without security. I noticed after applying WiFi settings it was having issues connecting like you were seeing (statuses 2906, 2909, 2904), and power cycling helped it to connect. I'll talk to the firmware person about this.
The T7's wifi processor has a hard time when the password field is empty. If you just write the ssid and then apply settings it fails to associate. If you write some junk value to password then it works.
We will find an access point to set up with no security and test, as have not done so lately, but should not be a problem.

Also, use a USB connection as described in tips #15-18 to see what status codes your device is going through and let us know.

Yes it works. Just put 1234 to the password field and it works without encryption. Thank You.
Firmware 1.0226 and later will automatically fill in a dummy password if the password provided is blank (empty).
