Hello LabJack,
I have a T7 connected and using Kipling to try and set the power on defaults for a set of AIN's. I try and set the voltage range for a bank of thermocouple's reads to +-0.1 Volts. When I navigate away from the Kipling tab and navigate back it reads the range as +-10 Volts again.
Is there a way via Kipling to make these range changes stay on power-up?
Ubuntu 16.04
Latest stable packages
Thanks,
Ryan
What tab in Kipling are you using and what AIN channels are you trying to configure the thermocouple AIN_EF for?
I assume you are using the Analog Inputs tab, are you power-cycling the device or closing the device or just navigating to a new tab? Can you try simply re-loading the analog inputs tab by clicking the tab again after configuring the channel? It should not be re-configuring the device when loading. Do you have a Lua Script running? You should also be able to follow the instructions tailored for the register-matrix. At the very least, you should be able to configure the AIN_EF in the analog inputs tab and then navigate to the register matrix tab and read the associated AIN_EF_INDEX register to see what AIN_EF feature is currently enabled.
What firmware version is the T7 currently running?
What version of Kipling are you running (you can find this in the settings tab)?
I'm not entirely sure what issues you are running into regarding configuring the channel yet, but once you are able to get the AIN_EF configured properly you can use the power-up defaults tab to configure the device. You can also save the configurations to a file and load them later.
We got it to work, thanks for your input!
