Hello, Is it possible to connect to the U12 through Windows virtual machine (XPmode). I have some legacy software I need to use with labjack, and it is only available through a XP virtual machine (windows 7 running windows virtual PC).
Thanks!

We haven't tested with Windows XP Mode, but our devices generally work fine in virtual machines over USB. So I don't have a definite yes answer but it will probably connect and work in XP Mode.
Regarding our software, I'm not sure if installing it in Windows 7 will also make the software/driver available in XP Mode, so you may need to install our software (it is XP compatible) in XP Mode as well. As for the U12 connection, you will probably need to manually attach it in XP Mode. Here's a helpful "How to Access an USB Device from Windows XP Mode" section on this page:

I have tried all of these steps prior to sending this request. It never shows up as a device I can attach, both before and after installing software on the Windows 7 side of things. Will keep working on it, just hoping someone else could confirm either success or failure on doing this previous.
Thanks!
I looked into this further, and unfortunately the U12 cannot be used with Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode since it does not support HID devices, which the U12 is. I tried our other DAQs (T7, U3, U6 and UE9) which are not HID however and they work fine with XP Mode. Also, many other virtual machines support HID devices which would be compatible with the U12.
