Hardware advice

Hi guys,

Now I am using the PS12DC with U3 but due to change of specification I have to add more relays, can you please advise me what hardware to consider from you guys that can cover the following requirements:

at least 2 Analog outputs 0-5v

Minimum of 4 Analog Inputs that can be used to measure voltage up to 10V

Minimum of 20 digital output  ( to power relays 24V)

Thank you very much

The U6 and T7 have the 20 and

The U6 and T7 have the 20 and 23 DIO respectively. Both have 14 ±10 V analog inputs and 2 0-5 V analog outputs. The AINs and DIOs are dedicated; not shared like on the U3. For 20 relay controls we have a couple options, you would either need 10 relay-drivers with a CB37 and a CB15 to connect them to. Or two PC12DCs.

As always, start with the relay app-note here: https://labjack.com/support/app-notes/Controlling-Relays

I like the PC12DCs, but how

I like the PC12DCs, but how do I connect two of these to as an example T7 as it sounds more apropriate.

can the T7 be accessed via USP and powereed via the same USB which is laptop in our case.

How will the channel numbering be assigned then when we have two  PC12DC.

about the speed of connection USB via Etherent, we take reading every 300ms , from your expirence which connection will be more reliable as spped and communication guranteed.

Thank you

The PS12DC has two connectors

The PS12DC has two connectors on it. One end of the PS12DC will connect to the DB15, and the other end will connect to the DB37.  There is a chart printed right on the PS12DC which indicates which switch will be controlled by which DIO line.

Both USB and Ethernet are reliable down to 1 ms response times.

Hi

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

I do need the screw terminal and separate power on each 2 relays,  so for the PS12DC that is connected to the DB15 the mapping is

S1 – EI0 .. S11-CI03

What about S1 to S11 mapping on the second PS12DC which will be connected to the DB37

Thank you very much.

On the PS12DC the DB37 is

On the PS12DC the DB37 is designated by P2. In the chart P2 shows that FIO0-7 control S0-7, DAC0-1 control S8-9, and MIO 0-1 control S10-11.
