Hi,
I have connected a new U3 to a Windows 10 computer and installed the software (LabJack-2016-08-23-beta) to start testing outputs and inputs. The LJ Control Panel, however, does not find the device. The green status LED is on solid on the device. Any suggestions next step to take?
First, close other applications that are using your U3. Only one application can claim an individual U3 at a time.
Second, in device manager check that there is a U3 entry. Refer to the Windows section of the installation instructions as it provides this troubleshooting step when LJControlPanel cannot find the U3:

Third, try a different USB port. Keep in mind when connecting your U3 to the USB port it may take a little bit of time (usually under a minute) for Windows to detect the U3 and associate a driver, so applications will not be able to find it during that time.
Thank you. Even after the re-install of the software and connecting the device, Windows did not bring up the Install Hardware dialog. However, by pointing the Device Manager manually to the LabJack Drivers folder, it was able to successfully install the driver and now I can connect. Thank you for the ideas!
It turns out there was a problem with the LabJack-2016-08-23-beta installer. The LabJack-2016-09-13-beta installer fixes the problem, so in case you need to install on any other machines, you should use the current version instead of the 08-23 version.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience!
