I have a U3-LV-USB, with HW ver 1.3, FW ver 1.5. Independent of whether I use the LJControlPanel (Windows) app or a custom VB.net prog, I'm consistently getting 16-bit resolution out of both DACs. The datasheet clearly states 10-bits - so on the 5V system I should get about a 5mV step size. But I'm (carefully) measuring about 80uV steps, which is in line with 16-bits! Am I going crazy???

You are correct. Under the hood the DACs are 16-bits. We spec 10-bit because some specs, like linearity, are on par with 10-bit systems.
