Loss of TCP access to UE9

My UE9 is remotely located at a cabin in the mountains, so is not easy to access. This device has worked for years using a VPN to the cabin, and then accessing it via its IP address (10.0.0.45).  The last few months it has started only showing a UDP address in the LJContorl panel. It sometimes comes up as UDP, then in a few minutes switches to TCP, with no action on my part.  I can reboot the device by killing power to everything, but that takes a long time for other things to recover.  The UE9 does respond to ping also.  Is there some command that can be sent to reset the UE9, or some other way to fix it?  Nothing I am aware of has changed that is causing this behavior. Today, even rebooting did not seem to bring it back.  Thanks for any ideas.  I believe its firmware is up to date.

One option is to set up the

One option is to set up the watchdog for when you lose communications:

There is also a reset function. LJControlPanel has a button to do a reset:

I would recommend double checking firmware is up to date. Comm firmware should be v1.58 and Control firmware v2.26:
